Internships and Volunteering

Student Internships 

Each year we offer professional training year opportunities to students from UK universities attending degrees that include a placement year with industry. These normally take between 9 and 12 months.

If you are looking to do a placement during the academic year 2023-2024, please get in touch (info@frozenark.org).

Please note that at this moment we can only offer non-paid placements.

Other Volunteering Opportunities 

We also offer volunteer opportunities for short / long periods with our teams at Nottingham and Cardiff, working either based in these cities or remotely (in the UK or elsewhere in the world). These opportunities are normally focused on one of our Key Priorities and will be mutually agreed.

If based in the UK, you can help us with: 

• Curating animal sample collections (including databasing work); 

• Delivering our in-situ school sessions;  

• Delivering our engagement and outreach events at Science Festivals and community venues.

If based in the UK or elsewhere in the world, you can help us with: 

• Creating content for our social media channels; 

• Creating content for our YouTube channel;

• Creating content for the Frozen Ark membership area; 

• Writing our quarterly E-newsletter; 

• Writing guest blog posts on subjects aligned with our aims; 

• Delivering our online school sessions.

Expenses related to travel/accommodation to deliver Frozen Ark activities and attend meetings will be covered by us.
