The Natural History Museum, London (NHM) is a world-class visitor attraction and leading science research centre. We use our unique collections and unrivalled expertise to tackle the biggest challenges facing the world today. We care for more than 80 million specimens spanning billions of years and welcome more than five million visitors annually.
The Museum operates specialist storage facilities for the care of its collections, including a Molecular Collections Facility (MCF) with numerous ultracold freezers, large liquid nitrogen storage vessels and all associated equipment for robotic handling of samples and DNA.
The Molecular Collections Facility currently hosts part of the Frozen Ark collection and is also one of the core facilities that will store CryoArks collections.
